Kylie Minogue Seen in London After Revealing Second Cancer Battle in Netflix Doc
Kylie Minogue Spotted in London After Netflix Cancer Reveal

Kylie Minogue was all smiles as she stepped out in London for the first time since the release of her revealing Netflix documentary, in which she disclosed that she battled cancer for a second time in 2021.

The 57-year-old pop icon was spotted enjoying dinner, wearing a Diesel floral jacket paired with jeans while soaking up the warm spring weather.

Her public appearance comes after the premiere of the three-part series titled Kylie, which has been praised by fans and critics alike as "deeply moving," "honest," and "an emotional watch."

The most significant revelation from her life in the spotlight occurred in the final moments of the last episode, when text on screen informed viewers that the star had "one more thing" to share.

Minogue spoke for the first time about her second cancer diagnosis—she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005—while in a studio with long-time collaborator Richard 'Biff' Stannard.

Her fans were not the only ones taken aback by the shocking confession. It turned out that the series director, Michael Harte, and another music collaborator were also unaware of the revelation.

"I had no clue. They talked about certain songs that had certain meanings to them that the audience don't know about," Harte told the Irish Mail on Sunday.

Harte revealed that he almost did not attend the tell-all recording session where Minogue was finalizing songs from her latest Christmas album.

"I had got to a point in the project where Kylie had given us some amazing interviews, and I felt like we had a lot of depth in the film, and I had kind of structured a three-part series in the edit, and I thought we're kind of done, and we're pretty close to finished," he said.

"When I got there, and as we were recording, I remember thinking, this is nice stuff. I'm not sure what we'll use it for. And then the conversation (about her cancer) started."

Speaking about her second cancer diagnosis in the documentary, Minogue described herself as a "shell of a person" at the time and explained that she could never find the right moment to tell the world, especially after the intense media intrusion she endured 16 years earlier.

"I really just wanted to say what happened so I can let go of it. I'd sit through interviews and every opportunity I thought, 'now's the time', but I kept it to myself," she said.

Elsewhere in the series, Minogue also opened up about her unsuccessful IVF journey.
