Resurfaced Video Exposes Jackie O's Early Desire to Quit $100 Million Show with Kyle Sandilands
Explosive footage of Jackie O Henderson has resurfaced, revealing early signs that she was prepared to walk away from her lucrative $100 million contract, following her sensational decision to quit the Kyle and Jackie O show. This revelation comes after news broke that the radio star officially ended her 25-year partnership with co-host Kyle Sandilands, citing an inability to continue working with him.
Official Resignation and On-Air Spat
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Jackie O Henderson had given notice to the network, stating she "cannot continue to work with Mr Kyle Sandilands." This decision followed a heated on-air argument where Sandilands criticized Henderson for her interest in astrology, leading her to take a leave of absence since February 20. Fans were dealt a cruel blow when informed at 3pm AWST that the issue remained unresolved, and the show would be taken off air immediately as Henderson turned her back on the 10-year, $100 million contract.
ARN, the network behind the show, released a statement confirming, "Ms Henderson will cease to present the Kyle and Jackie O show." Additionally, ARN has offered Henderson the possibility of an alternative show on their network and issued written notice to Sandilands, labeling his behavior during the February 20 broadcast as an "act of serious misconduct."
Footage from Radiodays Europe 2025 Foreshadows Exit
Walking away from $10 million a year is undoubtedly a tough pill to swallow, but resurfaced footage from the Radiodays Europe 2025 event provides early insight into Henderson's mindset. When asked by the host if she would "walk away from the show and the 10 year contract if things weren't right," the 51-year-old made her feelings clear.
She replied, "Yes I would, I think the older you get it's important that you're staying true to yourself and that you enjoy what you do and it feels authentic. The minute it doesn't, I don't ever want to feel bound by this contract where I'm driven by money. I've never been driven by money in my career and I always want to stay true to that. So if it doesn't feel right at any stage, I would be prepared to walk away from that."
This statement highlights her commitment to authenticity over financial gain, foreshadowing the recent events that led to her dramatic exit from the long-running radio program.
