Girl Airlifted After Horse Fall in Fullerton Cove Dunes

A young girl has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse in sand dunes at Fullerton Cove over the weekend. Emergency services responded to the incident on Coxs Lane around 3:30pm on Saturday, May 2.

Injuries and Response

A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW confirmed that the girl suffered back and arm pain following the fall. Paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter's critical care medical team provided on-site treatment before airlifting her to John Hunter Hospital for further care.

Separate Incident

On the same day, the rescue helicopter was also deployed to a trail bike accident at Cells River, near Nowendoc, west of Port Macquarie. A man in his 60s sustained multiple injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. He was transported by road to Nowendoc, where the helicopter's medical team met him, provided additional treatment, and airlifted him to John Hunter Hospital.
