Fresh tributes have emerged for actor Patrick Muldoon, with close friends Denise Richards and her daughter Lola Sheen posting emotional messages following his sudden death. Muldoon, aged 57, passed away on April 13, with his family confirming he was "suddenly taken from this Earth." His death was reportedly the result of a heart attack, sparking an outpouring of grief from fans and former co-stars alike.
Heartfelt Messages from Denise Richards
Denise Richards, who shared a 36-year friendship with Muldoon, expressed deep sorrow in recent statements. She described herself as "deeply heartbroken and devastated," calling Muldoon her "best friend" and "family." Richards wrote, "You lit up every room you walked into… so talented and most underrated." She highlighted his qualities, saying, "Your laugh, your kindness, your wit, your strength, your loyalty, your passion, and your zest for life… I don’t know what I’m going to do without you here." Richards emphasized their enduring bond, noting they had been each other's "rock" throughout their adult lives, with Muldoon serving as her "voice of reason and pillar of strength."
Lola Sheen Remembers a Childhood Icon
Lola Sheen, Richards' daughter, also shared a poignant tribute, describing Muldoon as a defining figure of her childhood. She wrote, "When I think of my childhood I think of you, Pat. Life will never feel the same… thank you for showing everyone around you how to be alive." She praised the special bond between Muldoon and her mother, stating it was "so special, that no one can touch," and called him a "rockstar" who will be remembered forever.

Muldoon appeared in nearly 500 episodes of Days of Our Lives as Austin Reed, earning a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best New Actor. He later starred as Richard Hart on Melrose Place and built a career spanning more than 50 films, including Starship Troopers. Recently, he completed work on Dirty Hands, due for release this month, and had been filming KOCKROACH in Australia alongside Chris Hemsworth and Taron Egerton.
His family has announced that details of a celebration of life will be shared at a later date, as the entertainment community continues to mourn his loss.
