Irish singer Niall Horan has announced he will be flying in one direction early next year as he returns to Australia, snubbing Perth for the third consecutive time as a solo artist.
Horan, 32, confirmed singular February shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, which precede a string of US dates kicking off in March, and a European tour scheduled to round out the year.
The east coast jaunt will follow the June 5 release of his fourth studio album Dinner Party, aptly naming his shows Dinner Party Live On Tour.
The Irishman has toured Australia several times since releasing personal works as far back as 2017, but is yet to return to Perth since his One Direction days in 2015.
Fan Reaction
Understandably, West Aussie fans who had grown accustomed to being overlooked in favour of larger Aussie cities lashed out on social media.
“Heartbroken no Perth again 💔#dinnerforone 😢,” one person wrote.
“Perth says hi, just reminding you we exist and would also love to see you 🥺🩷,” another said.
“Why do you hate Perth? 3 tours and you haven’t come to Perth once… 😔,” one more wrote.
For comparison, One Direction band mate Harry Styles has toured Perth twice as a solo act, with Louis Thomlinson playing once in WA since the group disbanded.
Tour Details
“I always love coming back to Australia, so I’m absolutely buzzing to finally announce Dinner Party Live On Tour for February 2027,” Horan said of the tour announcement.
“The support from Australian fans has always been amazing, and I can’t wait to get back over there and play these new songs for you. We’ve got a bigger and better show planned, four albums worth of tunes to get through, and a few surprises up our sleeves. It’s going to be a really special run.”
Horan’s Australian run will be supported by Toowoomba singer Jude York, who expressed his excitement at sharing a stage with the global artist.
“THE INCREDIBLE Niall Horan IS TAKING ME ON TOURRRR 😭 this doesn’t feel real (swipe for reaction) … arena tour 2027 see you there Australia ❤️,” York wrote.
