Jimmy Kimmel on Trump: 'Our most out-of-control relative on social media'
Late-night hosts discussed the president's unhinged online behaviour and the latest in the Los Angeles mayoral race.
Late-night hosts covered this week's primary elections and also addressed Donald Trump's recent social media obsession.
Jimmy Kimmel
The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host spoke about the primary election day and how in Los Angeles, 'no one is excited about voting for anyone on the ballot'.
He mentioned the reality TV star turned mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, who he has previously criticised, saying that 'he has been doing a lot of screaming' and has claimed he will leave LA if he doesn't win, which led to cheers from Kimmel's audience.
'OK, well I guess that's not the threat he thought it was,' he said.
Kimmel agreed that 'our city needs leadership' as it had experienced problems but voting for Pratt was 'like if your canoe is sinking and you thought it might help to add a rattlesnake'.
He moved on to Trump, who has been 'busy posting non-stop nonsense' and according to a recent study, the president posted 861 times last month.
'How does this man have the time to be a doctor and Jesus and also our most out-of-control relative on social media?' he asked.
This week saw Trump also make another threat against late-night television, referring to 'limping late-night talkshow hosts' still working after the cancellation of The Late Show.
'I'm not sure I'd be calling us limping when you've got cankles like this,' Kimmel said before showing the audience a picture, joking that it looks 'like they put a shoe on a balloon animal made of sausage links'.
He also said that the president should have 'more important things to focus on like finding a replacement for Milli Vanilli', referring to his summer concert which has been losing its lineup.
Kimmel recently won a Peabody award for his show which he thinks led to Trump's latest attack as it seems to have irked both him 'and his nut-lickers at Fox News'.
This week a reporter asked Dr Oz why the president needs to have so many checkups if he is in such good health and the response was that he enjoys going.
Kimmel said that 'identifying an illustration of a giraffe fills him with a sense of accomplishment'.
The war in Iran has been continuing despite Marco Rubio claiming that it's over. 'Maybe he should tell Pete Hegseth so he can stop bombing the place,' he said.
Seth Meyers
On Late Night, Seth Meyers spoke about Trump saying he was not worried about a spike in oil prices as a result of his war in Iran.
Meyers joked that the 'current price of gas is walk, bitch'.
This week also saw the release of new renderings of a planned Penn Station renovation including a plaque with the president's name on.
'I guess because Penn Station also stinks and never worked?' Meyers speculated.
There has also been yet another video of RFK Jr picking up snakes online. 'Can't a guy go grocery shopping without being taped?' he asked.
