Share Your February Reading Picks with The Guardian
Tell Us: What Have You Been Reading This Month?

The Guardian is calling on book lovers to share what they have been reading this month, as part of an ongoing series that celebrates the diverse literary tastes of its audience. Readers are encouraged to submit their recent reads, whether fiction, non-fiction, poetry, or graphic novels, to be featured in a curated roundup.

How to Participate

To contribute, simply email the title and author of your book along with a brief sentence or two about why you enjoyed it or what it meant to you. The Guardian will select a variety of responses to publish, showcasing the breadth of reading habits among its community. Submissions can be sent to books@theguardian.com with the subject line “What I’m reading.”

Previous Highlights

Last month’s roundup featured an eclectic mix, from classic literature to contemporary thrillers, and included reader insights on works by authors such as Haruki Murakami, Sally Rooney, and David Mitchell. One reader described Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore as “a dreamlike journey that blurs reality and fantasy,” while another praised Rooney’s Beautiful World, Where Are You for its “sharp dialogue and emotional depth.”

Why Share Your Reading?

This initiative aims to foster a sense of literary community, allowing readers to discover new books through peer recommendations. According to Guardian books editor Sian Cain, “We love hearing from our readers about what they are reading. It often leads to surprising and delightful discoveries for everyone.” The series has become a popular feature, with many participants noting that they have added several books to their to-read lists based on others’ suggestions.

Deadline and Selection

Submissions for the February roundup must be received by February 28. While not every entry can be published, the editorial team will endeavor to include a representative sample. The selected responses will be compiled into an article that highlights the diversity of reading tastes, from bestsellers to hidden gems.
