Police in the Illawarra region have launched a public appeal for assistance in locating four men who are wanted in connection with alleged domestic violence offences. Mugshots of the individuals have been released by authorities as part of the search effort.

The four alleged offenders range in age from 31 to 45 years old. Warrants have been issued for their arrest, and police have provided information about their known frequent locations.
Graham Rogers
A warrant is out for the arrest of 36-year-old Graham Rogers. He is known to frequent the Windang area and surrounding suburbs.
Daniel Cox
Police are searching for 31-year-old Daniel Cox, who is wanted and known to frequent Kiama Heights.
Michael McFarlane
Authorities are looking for 45-year-old Michael McFarlane, who is known to frequent Barrack Point.
Shaun Thomas
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 43-year-old Shaun Thomas. He is known to be in the Berkeley and Nowra areas.
Domestic Violence Statistics in the Region
The search comes amid concerning domestic violence statistics in the Illawarra region. During the last year, 1,127 domestic violence assaults were reported to Illawarra police, which equates to approximately three assaults every single day.
This number represents an 11 percent increase compared to two decades ago. In the 2005-06 period, there were 1,013 reported assaults, highlighting a troubling upward trend in domestic violence incidents over time.
Police Commissioner's Comments
In an exclusive interview with the Illawarra Mercury during a visit to the region, NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon addressed the challenges of controlling domestic violence offences.
"It is a crime that has proven intractable across police forces right across Australia," Commissioner Lanyon stated, acknowledging the persistent nature of domestic violence as a law enforcement issue nationwide.
