Dramatic Siege Ends with Taser and Dog Bite

A dramatic siege on the New South Wales South Coast, where a man allegedly armed with an axe held six people against their will, ended with police deploying a Taser and a police dog.

The incident began just before 7pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, when the 24-year-old man allegedly forced his way into a home on Holloway Road in South Nowra.

Once inside, he is accused of detaining three occupants: a 53-year-old woman and two 49-year-old men, preventing them from leaving the property.

Police Launch Major Operation

Following reports of the incident, NSW Police established a perimeter around the property and called in significant reinforcements. The operation involved the dog unit and specialist officers from the Tactical Operations Unit and Tactical Operations Regional Support.

Fortunately, before police arrived, three other women who were in the home—aged 32, 41, and 55—managed to escape to safety.

After hours of negotiations and planning, the situation reached its climax around 11:15pm that same night. Police stormed the home, resulting in the arrest of the 24-year-old man.
