A fresh wave of food vendors is set to hit Scarborough Sunset Markets as the popular beach-side gathering confirms its return for the winter season ahead.
New Winter Schedule
Moving from Thursdays to a Saturday winter time slot, the markets will re-launch on June 13 and run until October 24. Beach-goers can expect a smorgasbord of up to 50 stallholders, with barbecue skewers, curries, smoky meats, sizzling street food and decadent sweet treats awaiting them.
Sweet Treats and International Flavours
Making the cooler months a little sweeter is Bache Bakery, serving beautifully decorated cookies that will look great in your hand or on the ‘Gram before you gobble them up. Drawing lines throughout Asia, Fufu Cream is bringing Japanese fluffy pancakes to Perth’s north coast, while Celtic Cravings is set to serve hearty traditional Irish food in weather that feels like it belongs there.
Artisanal and Sustainable Offerings
Several artisanal storefronts have also been added to the mix, including Perth-based Bonisyppi which offers sustainable, crocheted flower bouquets that last a lifetime. Dune Decor will sell a collection of handcrafted candles that promise to transform the mood in any room, while handmade dolls and one-of-a-kind gifting pieces can be found at Sandia Unique Gifts.
Practical Innovations and Entertainment
For the sun mart, WA’s own Summersponge will introduce its mess-free sunscreen applicator, and Wild Coyote will bring a range of cute-yet-functional cups. Returning revellers will know staying warm often means dancing to a line-up of local DJs, or snuggling up to the crackling fire while roasting marshmallows.
