Hardware and garden giant Bunnings has officially launched its newest and one of its most impressive locations to date in Frenchs Forest, North Sydney. This monumental opening marks the arrival of the fourth-largest Bunnings store in the entire country, a project over five years in the making.
A Colossal New Retail Landmark
The doors to this five-storey behemoth swung open on Monday, following a two-year construction period. The project's journey began almost half a decade ago when the Northern Beaches Council first granted approval. The new warehouse is a true titan, spanning more than 20,000 square metres.
The store's layout is designed for maximum convenience, featuring three dedicated retail floors supported by two levels of customer parking that provide more than 400 car spaces. This vast scale solidifies its position as one of the most significant Bunnings outlets in the Australian retail landscape.
Advanced Features and Sustainable Design
Bunnings has committed to making this location not just large, but also "more advanced," incorporating a host of new features for both trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts.
The company highlighted that the store features one of the biggest trade and timber yards in the country. Other significant highlights designed to enhance the customer experience include:
- Five dedicated trade drive-through lanes for quick and easy loading.
- An extensive six-aisle tool shop.
- A brand-new kitchen design centre concept.
- The latest café design for shoppers to relax in.
- A unique rooftop nursery.
- The first-ever Beaumont Tiles ‘store-in-store’ concept.
In a strong focus on environmental responsibility, the store also incorporates several key sustainability measures. These include the installation of solar panels, rainwater storage systems, and a recycled water system specifically for the plant nursery.
A Welcome Addition to the Community
Complex manager Paul Burgess expressed immense pride in the new store, stating, "We’re so proud to be opening one of the country’s largest and most advanced Bunnings stores right here in Frenchs Forest."
He emphasised that the store was meticulously designed to deliver the best possible experience for all customers, from trade professionals working on major projects to weekend DIYers tackling home improvements. "The team can’t wait to welcome everyone through the doors and showcase all the new features, from the rooftop nursery to our new kitchen design centre," Burgess added.
The opening of this flagship store represents a major investment in the North Sydney area, providing a state-of-the-art destination for hardware, gardening, and home improvement needs.
