2026 UDIA WA Awards Open for Nominations in Property

Nominations for the 2026 UDIA WA Awards for Excellence program are now open, offering the property industry a chance to celebrate the finest projects, teams, and individuals across Western Australia. These awards also help new homebuyers identify quality development projects, as the program is widely regarded as the pinnacle of community creation, innovation, and sustainability.

Categories Reflect Diverse Housing Choices

The awards program includes a range of categories that mirror the diverse housing options available to buyers in various locations across Perth, Peel, and regional areas. Categories cover masterplanned communities and residential subdivisions in new areas, as well as medium-density townhomes and high-density apartment living in existing areas. Features such as community facilities, social infrastructure, and sustainability are also recognised.

Top Honour: Russel Perry Award

The highest honour is the Russel Perry Award for Urban Development Excellence, awarded to the winner chosen from all category winners on the night. Last year’s Russel Perry award went to Providence Lifestyle’s Piara Waters Lifestyle Resort, which also won the Seniors Living category. This project exemplifies modern community living for residents over 55, offering a vibrant land lease community in Perth’s southern suburbs that combines affordability with quality, featuring thoughtfully designed homes in a walkable, connected neighbourhood.

National Recognition

Winners of all categories from the state awards can nominate for the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s National Awards for Excellence program, where WA has an impressive track record across various categories. At the 2026 national awards earlier this year, Piara Waters Lifestyle Resort again took top honours in the Seniors Living category. Additionally, Peet, Perron Group, and DevelopmentWA won in the Sustainability category for Brabham estate, while DevelopmentWA also won in the Affordable Housing category for Karda Way at OneOneFive Hamilton Hill. Zenith Energy was recognised for its leadership in diversity and inclusion, winning the Diversity in Development award.
