A 37-year-old man has been charged following an alleged road rage incident on the Central Coast, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Police were called to the intersection of The Entrance Road and Pacific Highway in Tuggerah around 2:30 pm after reports of a confrontation between two drivers.
It is alleged that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which the man produced a knife and threatened the other driver. The victim, a 45-year-old man, was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and arrested the 37-year-old man without incident. During a search of his vehicle, officers seized a knife, a mobile phone, and other items believed to be related to the incident.
Charges Laid
The man was taken to Wyong Police Station, where he was charged with assault with an offensive weapon, affray, and possessing a knife in a public place. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on March 20.
