Victoria Police have launched an urgent search for an elderly couple who disappeared after visiting a busy shopping centre in Melbourne's southeast. Colin, 89, and Claudette, 83, from Wheelers Hill, were last seen driving out of The Glen Shopping Centre on Springvale Road around midday on Saturday. They left in their white 2015 Mazda 2 with registration 1ER8FK and have not been seen since.
Couple Left Aged Care Facility
The pair departed their aged care facility on Ferntree Gully Road about 11.15am and never returned. Family and police hold serious concerns for their welfare, as both require daily medication and are likely to become confused or disoriented. Investigators believe the Mazda may have been spotted travelling westbound on the Monash Freeway about 5.30pm on Saturday.

Colin is 172cm tall, thin, balding with grey hair and wears glasses. He was last seen in a dark long-sleeve top, pants and white shoes. Claudette is 142cm tall with a solid build, short grey hair and uses a wheelchair. She was wearing a hot-pink zip-up jacket, floral shirt, dark pants and carrying a handbag. Police have released images of the couple and are calling on anyone who sees them or their vehicle to contact triple-0 immediately.
