Manhunt After Hit-Run Crash Leaves Woman Hospitalised

A manhunt is underway following a hit-run crash that left an innocent woman hospitalised, with one offender still on the run.

Crash Details

Police allege the woman was driving in Knoxfield, in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, just after 12pm on Monday when her car was struck by a Mazda with two occupants inside. The impact of the crash forced the woman's SUV to roll onto its side.

Emergency services, including specialist paramedics, treated the woman at the scene. The two men involved in the crash fled the area before emergency services arrived.

Arrest and Investigation

Police tracked down and arrested one of the offenders nearby, but are still looking for the second man. Investigators seized a large blade from the offending Mazda, which they allege was carrying stolen number plates at the time of the crash.

The woman is now recovering in Dandenong Hospital. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
