US President Donald Trump has compared his UFC octagon to the Eiffel Tower, saying he may 'never, ever' remove it from the White House lawn. The comment came during a public appearance where he defended the installation, which has drawn criticism from preservationists.
Trump on Iran Talks
In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that the US and Iran are speaking 'continuously,' dismissing reports that Tehran had broken off contact over Israel's attacks on Lebanon. 'Fake News Reports that the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the U.S.A., stopped speaking a few days ago are false and erroneous,' he wrote.
Middle East Developments
Earlier, Israeli drone strikes killed eight people in Lebanon, hours after Trump said Israel and Hezbollah had agreed to 'stop all shooting.' Iran pulled out of peace talks in protest at Israel's attack on Lebanon and Gaza.
On Monday night, Trump told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he was 'f***ing crazy' and that everybody hated Israel. Netanyahu said he had cancelled strikes on Beirut, but strikes continued the following day.
Peace talks between Israel and Lebanon are scheduled for today. The US also carried out 'self-defence' strikes on Iran, according to reports.
