Guardian’s Environment Forum 2026: A Hopeful Evening of Practical Climate Action
The Guardian is hosting its environment forum in 2026, bringing together climate and environment experts, activists, and the public for an evening focused on solutions and hope. The event, titled “The People’s Picture,” is designed by renowned public artist Helen Marshall and aims to explore tangible ways individuals and communities can contribute to fighting the climate crisis.
While governments continue to invest in fossil fuels and delay policy changes that would reduce emissions, making small changes in our routines can feel insufficient. However, there are many impactful actions we can all take to help tackle the crisis. Shaped by an extensive survey of Guardian readers on what solutions and ideas deserve deeper exploration, this landmark event will focus on practical action.
Through expert-led conversations with invited activist, climate, and environmental groups, attendees will learn how to start a group, launch listening campaigns, participate in local schemes and established activist networks, and understand the current global environmental landscape and areas needing urgent support.
