Robot vacuums are becoming increasingly capable and affordable, and the latest model from Ecovacs, the Deebot T50 Pro Omni, is no exception. Priced at $1,299, it offers a range of features that make it a strong competitor in the market.
Setting up the T50 Pro Omni is straightforward, taking less than ten minutes from unboxing to mapping the home. The Ecovacs Home app guides users through the process, though it's recommended to clear the floor of toys and lift dining chairs for optimal mapping.
The robot features two tanks on the docking station—one for clean water and one for dirty water. Through the app, users can control cleaning mode, suction power, water flow rate, cleaning speed, and passes, allowing for customized cleaning based on individual needs.
With 15,000Pa of suction power, the T50 Pro Omni delivers impressive performance, leaving floors clean even in homes with high traffic. The two mop heads extend to reach walls, ensuring thorough coverage.
However, the robot can occasionally get caught on power cables and loose curtains due to its TrueEdge 2.0 spinning brush. While the Vision Language Model aims to improve obstacle avoidance, it may still require refinement.
Despite these minor issues, the Deebot T50 Pro Omni offers excellent value for its price, combining ease of use, effective cleaning, and a sleek design at just 81mm tall. It builds on the success of the earlier T50 range, aiming to make cleaning effortless.
