Ash Brazill returns to West Coast Fever as coach

In an exciting development for West Coast Fever fans, the club has secured the services of former captain Ash Brazill, who returns to her netball roots as a specialist coach for the upcoming Super Netball season.

The celebrated netballer, who currently captains Collingwood in the AFLW while maintaining her elite netball career, will bring her wealth of experience back to Perth where she first made her mark in the sport.

Homecoming for Fever Legend

Brazill's appointment marks a significant homecoming for the dynamic athlete, who previously led West Coast Fever as captain during her tenure from 2010 to 2016. Her deep understanding of the club's culture and playing style makes her an invaluable addition to the coaching staff.

"It feels like coming home," Brazill expressed about her return. "West Coast Fever is where I grew up as a netballer and developed into the player I am today. To be able to give back to the club that gave me so much is incredibly special."

Dual-Sport Expertise

What makes Brazill's appointment particularly intriguing is her unique position as a dual-sport professional. Her experience captaining in both elite netball and AFLW provides her with distinctive insights into high-performance sport, leadership development, and athlete management.

"Ash brings a contemporary perspective that very few coaches can offer," said Fever's head coach. "Her understanding of what it takes to perform at the highest level across different codes is invaluable for our playing group."

Specialist Role Focus

As a specialist coach, Brazill will concentrate on developing specific aspects of the Fever's game plan and individual player skills. Her expertise in mid-court play and defensive strategies will be particularly beneficial for the squad as they prepare for another competitive Super Netball season.

The appointment signals West Coast Fever's commitment to bringing the best possible resources to their playing group as they continue their pursuit of Super Netball glory.
