A woman has lost her life following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in northern New South Wales, prompting a police investigation.
The rider, believed to be in her 40s, was travelling along Warialda Road in Warialda, approximately 80 kilometres east of Moree, when the incident occurred around 4.50pm on Friday.
Emergency services were called to the scene, where the woman was found deceased. Police established that the motorcycle had left the roadway.
Formal identification of the rider is yet to take place.
Investigation underway
Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. They are appealing for anyone with information, dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
