Collingwood Defender Harry Perryman Announces Engagement to Netball Star Jamie-Lee Price
Collingwood defender Harry Perryman and Australian netballer Jamie-Lee Price have officially announced their engagement after six years together. The couple, both former GWS Giants players who have since moved to Melbourne, shared their exciting life update with friends and fans on social media on Wednesday night.
Social Media Announcement and Heartwarming Exchange
Perryman, aged 27, and Price, aged 30, confirmed their engagement in a joint Instagram post captioned, "HE FINALLY DID IT ? ? ✨". The post included a black and white photo showcasing Price's new engagement ring, along with an understated video of the couple seated at a backyard bonfire, where they humorously recounted the evening's events.
In the video, Price asked her beau, "What did you do tonight?" to which Perryman, a 129-game AFL player, replied, "I proposed. There it is, finally, after six years." Price teased, "Six years too long?" and Perryman responded with a laugh, "Nah, timed it to perfection.... So that will shut you up."
Flood of Congratulations from Sporting Community
The joyful announcement quickly garnered a flood of well-wishes from friends within the football and netball spheres. Collingwood teammate Josh Daicos commented, "Ayy Congrats you two!!" while former Pie-turned-Docker Mason Cox added, "YES!!!!! Congratulations yall!"

Both Perryman and Price previously played in Sydney for the GWS Giants in their respective codes. Perryman moved to Melbourne to join Collingwood in late 2024, while his now-fiancée joined the Melbourne Mavericks netball team in the latter part of 2025.
Price boasts an impressive sporting pedigree, having won gold for the Australian Diamonds at the 2023 Netball World Cup. She is the daughter of former NRL player Steve Price and the niece of Brisbane Broncos premiership player Brent Tate.
Part of a Growing Trend in Australian Sports
The couple follows a long list of footy-netball relationships in Australia, with other contemporary examples including Josh Dunkley and Tippah Dwan, as well as Tim English and Rudi English (née Ellis). Their engagement highlights the strong connections between different sporting codes in the country, often leading to high-profile partnerships that capture public interest.
This announcement adds to the growing narrative of athletes from various sports finding love and building lives together, showcasing the personal side of professional sports beyond the field and court.
