Brisbane Lions Star's Luxury Home Fetches $3.2 Million at Auction

The extravagant Brisbane residence belonging to two-time premiership player Lachie Neale and his estranged wife Jules has sold for a staggering $3.2 million at auction. The five-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the affluent suburb of Seven Hills was purchased by a family of five following competitive bidding that commenced at $2.5 million.

Marriage Breakdown Precedes Property Sale

The property went on the market last month after the very public collapse of the Neales' marriage, which has been marred by allegations of infidelity. In December, Jules Neale confirmed the separation in a strongly worded statement, declaring, "I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is to heal and do what's best for my children."

Lachie Neale, a two-time Brownlow Medal winner, confirmed the split in early January and subsequently stepped down as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions. The separation has been complicated by claims involving Jules Neale's best friend Tess Crosley, though Crosley's family has recently defended her position in the matter.

Luxury Features of the Sold Property

The two-storey home spans nearly 700 square meters and features numerous premium amenities:

  • High ceilings and timber flooring throughout
  • Louvred windows and skylights with automatic shutters
  • Gourmet kitchen with top-tier appliances, butler's pantry, and wine cellar
  • Alfresco area with swimming pool and sauna
  • Three-car garage with epoxy flooring

The Neales originally purchased the property for $2.43 million during the pandemic period. The auction, conducted by McGrath Estate Agents, took place privately in the home's living room away from media cameras.

Family Relocation and Future Implications

Jules Neale has recently returned to her home state of Western Australia with the couple's two children, Piper and Freddie. This move follows the family's relocation to Brisbane in late 2018 when Lachie Neale was traded to the Lions from Fremantle.

While the Brisbane Lions have indicated they wouldn't obstruct a potential future transfer request from Neale to be closer to his children in Western Australia, the star midfielder has committed to playing the 2026 season with the club. The property sale coincides with Jules Neale's recent 36th birthday celebrations in Perth, where she shared joyful moments with friends and family on social media.
