Luxury Brisbane Home of AFL Star Lachie Neale Sells for $3.2 Million at Auction
The extravagant Brisbane residence belonging to two-time premiership player Lachie Neale and his estranged wife Jules Neale has been sold at auction for a staggering $3.2 million. The sale comes after the very public breakdown of their marriage, which has been marred by allegations of infidelity and intense media scrutiny.
Marital Split and Property Sale
The five-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury home in the affluent suburb of Seven Hills was listed for sale last month, following confirmation of the couple's separation. In December, Jules Neale issued a statement clarifying the situation, stating, "I want to make it very clear that I am not 'working through' anything. I have been betrayed in the most unimaginable way. All I can do now is to heal and do what's best for my children."
Lachie Neale, a two-time Brownlow medallist, confirmed the separation in early January and subsequently stepped down from his role as co-captain of the Brisbane Lions. The split has been accompanied by widespread speculation, including claims of an affair between Neale and Jules's best friend, Tess Crosley.
Defense Amid Controversy
Earlier this month, Tess Crosley's family entered the fray, with her mother, Kaz Caesar, defending her daughter against the allegations. In a social media post, Caesar asserted, "There are four people involved, and none of them are innocent; however, one person has been allowed to be the villain and told to keep quiet right from the beginning." This statement has added further complexity to the ongoing personal drama surrounding the Neales.
Property Details and Auction Highlights
The Neales originally purchased the spacious two-storey home during the pandemic for $2.43 million. The property boasts an array of premium features:
- High ceilings and timber flooring throughout
- Louvred windows and skylights with automatic shutters
- A gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, butler's pantry, and wine cellar
- An alfresco area with a pool and sauna
- Nearly 700 square metres of land
- Space for a three-car garage with epoxy flooring
Sold by McGrath Estate Agents, the auction was conducted privately in the living room, away from media cameras. Bidding commenced at $2.5 million and concluded at $3.2 million, with the property being purchased by a family of five.
Personal Moves and Future Prospects
Jules Neale has recently relocated to her home state of Western Australia with the couple's two children, Piper and Freddie. She recently celebrated her 36th birthday in Perth, sharing joyful snaps on social media surrounded by friends, cake, and balloons, set to Olivia Dean's 'Ladies Room'.
Lachie Neale, who was recruited to Fremantle from South Australia in 2011 before moving to Brisbane after a trade to the Lions in late 2018, remains committed to playing for Brisbane in the 2026 season. However, the club has indicated it would not obstruct a potential future transfer request to Western Australia, should Neale seek to be closer to his children.
The sale of the Seven Hills property marks a significant chapter in the Neales' ongoing personal and professional transitions, drawing considerable attention from both AFL fans and real estate observers alike.
