Warriors Star Tuivasa-Sheck Confirms ACL Injury

Warriors legend Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has confirmed he will miss the remainder of the NRL season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury. The 32-year-old limped off during the Warriors' round 12 victory over the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Tuivasa-Sheck took to Instagram to announce the diagnosis, writing: "That's my footy for the year. ACL confirmed. Tough to accept, but the season goes on. We got something special going. Big love for all the messages." He had been playing his first game back from a minor shoulder injury.

The injury occurred early in the first half following a tackle on Hayden Buchanan. Tuivasa-Sheck wore a brace on his knee after full-time and underwent scans upon returning to Auckland, which confirmed the ACL rupture.

Tuivasa-Sheck is set to move to England at the end of the season to play for Wakefield Trinity in the English Super League. This appears to be a devastating end to his NRL career, having played 242 games, including 158 for the Warriors across two stints.

He is the only player to have won the Dally M Medal while playing for the Warriors and was named Dally M Captain of the Year in 2020. Tuivasa-Sheck returned to the Warriors in 2024 after two years playing rugby union and three Tests for the All Blacks.
