Jennie Kellett, a 71-year-old runner from Canberra, has broken multiple national records in her age category, showcasing remarkable athletic ability and determination. The veteran athlete set new benchmarks in the 800 meters, 1500 meters, and 5000 meters events during a recent competition, surpassing previous records held for years.
Record-Breaking Performance
Kellett's achievements include a time of 2 minutes and 58 seconds in the 800 meters, 6 minutes and 12 seconds in the 1500 meters, and 22 minutes and 45 seconds in the 5000 meters. These performances have placed her among the elite runners in the 70-74 age group nationally.
