England's Lions were bowled out for 166 in their first innings and 295 in the second, with Asa Tribe's unbeaten 129 the only resistance. Australia A declared at 8-588, leaving the Lions with no chance of a draw.
The defeat follows a loss to a Cricket Australia XI last month, though the Lions had a first-innings win over a Prime Minister's XI in Canberra. Ollie Pope is under pressure at number three after failing to reach 50 in four innings, but likely replacement Jacob Bethell has yet to score a first-class century in 25 matches. Bethell's tour scores are 3, 70, 44, 16, 19 and 71.
Spinner Shoaib Bashir also struggled, taking 0-115 from 25 overs against Australia A. Will Jacks, picked ahead of Bashir for the Gabba Test, took one wicket and contributed with the bat.
