A 27-year-old man has died after a medical episode during an arrest by police in Melbourne's northern suburbs, triggering a major investigation.
Incident Unfolds in Craigieburn
Police were called to a residence on Discovery Close in Craigieburn at approximately 2.55pm on Friday following reports of a man behaving erratically. Officers attended the scene and took the Craigieburn man into custody.
Shortly after being detained, the man became unresponsive. Emergency services were immediately alerted, and paramedics provided critical treatment at the location.
Rushed to Hospital in Critical Condition
The man was transported to hospital under lights and sirens while paramedics continued to work on him. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital in a critical condition.
