The episode began around 1:35 AM on Wednesday when officers reportedly spotted an Audi A3 sedan without registration plates on Day Road in East Rockingham. Upon activating their emergency lights and sirens, the woman behind the wheel allegedly accelerated away at high speed, initiating a pursuit that spanned across the Rockingham area.
The chase came to a dramatic conclusion near an intersection on Mandurah Road, where the driver lost control of the car and crashed into nearby bushland. She was promptly taken into custody by police at the scene. Following the crash, the woman was transported to Rockingham Hospital for medical treatment, where she was assessed for non-serious injuries.
