Morning Session

The morning session will commence at 10:00 AM, with multiple defendants scheduled to appear before Judge Michael O'Brien. Among the cases is that of John Smith, 34, of Norlane, who faces charges of aggravated burglary and theft. Smith is alleged to have broken into a residential property in Newtown on 15 March 2026 and stolen electronics worth over $5,000.

Also appearing is Sarah Jones, 28, of Belmont, charged with possession of a controlled substance (methylamphetamine) and dealing in a commercial quantity. Jones was arrested following a police raid on her home on 2 April 2026, where officers allegedly seized 200 grams of the drug.

David Brown, 45, of Grovedale, will face court for driving while disqualified and reckless conduct endangering serious injury. The charges stem from an incident on 10 April 2026 where Brown was allegedly observed driving at high speed through the Geelong CBD while under a court-ordered driving ban.

  • Emma Wilson, 22, of Waurn Ponds – charged with criminal damage and assault. Allegedly damaged property and assaulted a security guard at a Geelong nightclub on 5 April 2026.
  • Michael Taylor, 39, of Corio – charged with trafficking heroin and possessing proceeds of crime. Arrested after a covert operation by Geelong detectives on 20 March 2026.

Afternoon Session

The afternoon session, scheduled to start at 2:15 PM, will be presided over by Judge Jennifer White. Noteworthy cases include that of Robert Davis, 51, of Lara, who is charged with indecent assault and sexual penetration of a child under 16. The alleged offences occurred between January 2024 and December 2025 involving a 14-year-old victim.

Another significant matter is the case of Lisa Nguyen, 33, of Highton, who faces multiple counts of obtaining property by deception and identity theft. Nguyen is accused of using stolen personal information to open credit accounts and make purchases totalling over $50,000 between February and April 2026.

Peter Anderson, 29, of Geelong West, will appear for contravening a family violence intervention order and making threats to kill. Anderson was arrested on 18 April 2026 after allegedly contacting his ex-partner in breach of an order and threatening her life.

Other Afternoon Listings

  • Karen White, 41, of East Geelong – charged with fraud and falsifying documents. Allegedly submitted false insurance claims worth $15,000 after a staged car accident in March 2026.
  • Thomas Green, 38, of Leopold – charged with possessing child exploitation material. Arrested after a tip-off from the Australian Federal Police led to a search of his home on 12 April 2026.
