An investigation is underway following a house fire that broke out east of Perth in the early hours of Thursday, leaving an occupant in need of medical treatment for smoke inhalation.
Fire Breaks Out in Maddington
Police and fire crews rushed to Parakeela Grove in Maddington after the blaze erupted just after 1am. Thick, angry plumes of smoke surged from the home as firefighters worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
Emergency Response
Emergency crews remained on the scene until the fire was completely under control. A man was understood to have been taken to hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Further details about his condition have not yet been released.
