Brisbane Rideshare Driver Faces Serious Charges Over Alleged Stalking and Sexual Violence Incidents

A rideshare driver from Brisbane has been formally charged in connection with a series of disturbing incidents involving alleged stalking, coercive control, and sexual violence targeting multiple women across the city. The Queensland Police Service has detailed a pattern of behaviour where the 29-year-old man from Ferny Hills reportedly met women through rideshare trips and later initiated contact via social media platforms.

According to police allegations, while initial contact was consensual in some cases, and the man even formed relationships with two of the women, his actions escalated into threatening and violent conduct. In one particularly severe instance, authorities claim the driver began a relationship with a 27-year-old woman after she used a rideshare service in mid-2025.

Escalation of Threats and Alleged Sexual Assault

During this relationship, it is alleged that the man accessed the woman's phone without permission and issued threats as she attempted to end the relationship on multiple occasions. The situation reportedly intensified on July 20, when the man allegedly arrived unannounced at her home and sexually assaulted her. After she terminated the relationship and instructed him to cease contact, police say he returned to her residence on August 17, making further threats before departing.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old woman allegedly exchanged social media details with the driver during a rideshare trip from Fortitude Valley on November 1, 2024. Over the following week, the man is accused of sending repeated messages and threatening to appear at her workplace. The woman blocked him and reported the matter to law enforcement.

Pattern of Behaviour and Earlier Allegations

Detectives have also linked the man to an earlier case from 2020, involving a then 20-year-old woman who entered a relationship with him. Within months, he allegedly assaulted her, monitored her phone activity, and made repeated calls, showing up at her home if she did not respond. She ended the relationship in early 2021 and later reported the behaviour to authorities.

Police assert that these incidents reveal a consistent pattern where rideshare trips were followed by persistent contact and escalating threats. On November 17, 2025, officers executed a search warrant at a Ferny Hills home, seizing electronic devices as part of their investigation.

Charges and Court Proceedings

The man has been charged with one count each of rape, coercive control, and threatening violence, along with three counts of stalking. He is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 17. In response to these allegations, police have issued a strong appeal for anyone with similar experiences to come forward.
