A fourth man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in a Geelong park. The 27-year-old Corio man was charged with rape and abduction after attending a police station on Tuesday afternoon.
Police allege that a group of men approached the girl, who was with a 16-year-old boy, at St Albans Park at about 4:00am on November 1. The boy was allegedly assaulted, and the girl was sexually assaulted near the park before being taken to a nearby house where further sexual assault occurred.
The Corio man is scheduled to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday. He joins three other men already charged in connection with the incident: brothers Kevin Wild, 28, and Mark Wild, 29, and Brodie Wild, 20, from the Gold Coast, all facing charges of rape and abduction.
A 31-year-old man from Harrisdale, in Perth, was questioned but released without charge at the weekend. Police continue to investigate the incident.
