Emerald Cruises' superyacht Emerald Kaia has officially launched, welcoming its first guests on board and successfully sailing through the Red Sea and Suez Canal. The vessel departed from Limassol, Cyprus, on its inaugural voyage, marking a significant milestone for the luxury cruise line.
Next Evolution in Yacht Cruising
James Griffiths, general manager of Oceans Operations at Scenic Group, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition to the fleet. "Emerald Kaia represents the next evolution of Emerald Yacht Cruises with more space, enhanced wellness, innovative dining concepts and a considered yacht experience," he said. "Seeing her in operation and welcoming our first guests is the most rewarding proof that this evolution in our fleet is the right one."
Mediterranean and Indian Ocean Itineraries
For the Mediterranean summer in 2026 and 2027, Emerald Kaia will cruise the Adriatic Sea, offering a range of eight and 15-day itineraries. These voyages will involve island-hopping between Venice and Dubrovnik, with the 128-guest yacht docking in the heart of Venice for convenient access to cultural landmarks.
After the northern summer, Emerald Kaia will reposition to the Indian Ocean, sailing in the Seychelles archipelago from December 2026 to March 2027. Itineraries, ranging from eight to 20 days, include the benchmark 16-day Safari and Seychelles voyage. This unique journey combines Seychelles cruising with safaris in Kenya's Masai Mara, Samburu Game Reserve, and Lake Nakuru National Park, offering guests an immersive wildlife and marine experience.
