An Australian man has tragically died after being discovered in distress on a hotel balcony in Bali. The 30-year-old, identified by local police with the initials JRTC, was found on a second-floor balcony at a hotel in the popular beach resort area of Seminyak at approximately 4.15am on Wednesday.
Details of the Incident
When his 22-year-old girlfriend, referred to in local media as JGA, found him, JRTC was still breathing and able to speak. He was immediately rushed to Siloam Hospital in an unconscious state. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at about 8.10am local time.
Local police have provided further context, stating that the couple had returned to the hotel around 1.30am after spending the evening at a bar. Authorities believe JRTC was in an intoxicated state at the time. Upon returning to the hotel, the couple had an argument, after which JRTC went to sleep on a daybed located on the balcony.
