Emergency Operation Causes Train Delays on Central Coast-Newcastle Line

Train services on the Central Coast-Newcastle line were disrupted on Saturday morning following an incident at Woy Woy station that required emergency services. Five ambulances and a CareFlight helicopter were dispatched to the scene after a call for assistance at approximately 10:45am.

Services were initially halted in both directions between Hawkesbury River and Gosford as emergency crews responded. Trains have since resumed running in both directions, but passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and check transport apps for individual service details.

A replacement bus was scheduled to arrive at Hornsby station at 12pm, running express to Gosford and Wyong stations. Some trains may also be operating on a changed timetable due to trackwork between Strathfield and Central.
