Major Crash investigators in Western Australia have launched a public appeal for information following a severe two-vehicle collision in Perth's eastern suburbs on Christmas Day. The incident left three people fighting for their lives with critical injuries.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:40pm on Wednesday, 25 December 2025. Emergency services were called to the roundabout at the intersection of Watsonia Road and Ridge Hill Road in Maida Vale after a blue Kia Stonic station sedan and a white Toyota RAV4 collided.
The force of the impact resulted in catastrophic injuries for all three occupants involved. The driver of the Toyota, a 67-year-old man, and his passenger, a 64-year-old woman, were critically hurt. The driver of the Kia, a 24-year-old woman, also sustained life-threatening injuries.

Multiple ambulances rushed to the scene following the collision. Paramedics treated all three patients at the location before urgently transporting them to Royal Perth Hospital. As of the latest reports, all three individuals remain in a critical condition under the care of hospital specialists.
