Major crash investigators in Western Australia have launched a probe after a young woman lost her life in a tragic collision in Busselton on Saturday night.

The two-vehicle crash occurred around 11:10pm on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the Geographe suburb. According to police, a grey Toyota Kluger and a blue Holden Commodore station wagon, both travelling west on Marine Terrace, were involved in the collision.

Tragically, the 23-year-old female driver of the Toyota Kluger sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. A 41-year-old male passenger in the same vehicle was taken to Busselton Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Injuries and police appeal for information

The driver of the Holden Commodore, a 44-year-old man, suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was initially rushed to Busselton Hospital before being airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital for further treatment. His current condition has not been disclosed.
