Bus Crashes into Sydney Medical Centre, Three Hospitalised After Collision
Bus Crash at North Ryde Medical Centre Injures Multiple

A serious collision between a bus and a car in Sydney's north-west has left multiple people injured and sent the bus crashing into a medical centre, forcing the evacuation of patients and staff.

Chaotic Morning Collision on Lane Cove Road

The incident unfolded just after 9am on Lane Cove Road at North Ryde, at the corner of Epping Road. The bus and a car collided, causing the bus to veer out of control. It careered off the road and into the awning of a physiotherapy and chiropractic business within a larger medical facility.

The force of the impact crushed the bus's windscreen against the building's structure. Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended the scene and confirmed that, fortunately, no one was trapped inside the bus following the crash.

Injuries and Emergency Response

In total, eleven people sustained injuries in the accident. This included the bus driver, seven passengers from the bus, and the driver of the car involved in the initial collision.

NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed all those injured at the scene. Three individuals were transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in stable conditions. These were the car driver, the bus driver, and one bus passenger.

Six other bus passengers received treatment from paramedics but ultimately chose not to be taken to a hospital for further care.

Evacuation and Ongoing Investigation

As emergency services – including police, ambulance, and fire crews – swarmed the area, a significant evacuation was undertaken for safety reasons. Thirty people were safely evacuated from the medical centre in the wake of the crash.

The scene was secured as authorities began their work to determine the exact cause of the collision. Police have stated that investigations into the crash are continuing.

The incident caused significant disruption in the area, with emergency vehicles blocking parts of the key road corridor during the morning rush hour response.
