The worst of the heatwave is anticipated on Tuesday, with Gascoyne Junction likely to experience a top of 45 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius are predicted for both Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by a slight decrease on Friday and Saturday before climbing back to 43 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The blistering conditions will extend to the Perth metropolitan area later in the week, disrupting a recent run of cooler weather. Perth's temperatures are set to rise significantly, with forecasts indicating near 40-degree Celsius heat by Friday.
