The terrifying event unfolded in the early hours of March 29, around 1am, on Westphalian Rise in Clyde North. According to authorities, two men were standing on the street when they were approached by the driver of a dark hatchback or SUV.
The driver initially drove past the duo and hurled abuse at them before performing a U-turn and driving directly towards the men. One man managed to jump out of the way, but the other, a 29-year-old Clyde North resident, was struck and thrown several metres into the air upon impact.

It was all happening, lots of police and it was all taped off."
