The Voice Australia made history on Sunday night with its first all-female grand finale, crowning 19-year-old Alyssa Delpopolo as the winner and recipient of a $100,000 cash prize. Host Sonia Kruger announced the result after a thrilling episode that saw four women compete for the title.
Perth's Cle Morgan, 44, was among the finalists, representing Team Ronan Keating. She performed a duet with her coach of 'I Knew You Were Waiting' and a solo rendition of Pink's 'What About Us', which she dedicated to her late wife. Coach Ronan praised her unique quality, saying he gets goosebumps at every performance.
The other finalists were Cassie Henderson, 26, from Team Mel C, and Bella Parnell, 21, from Team Richard Marx. Each contestant performed twice, once in a duet with their coach and once solo. The night featured standout performances, including Alyssa's powerful take on Celine Dion's 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now'.
Coach Mel C, former Spice Girl, expressed pride in the historic all-female final, calling it a fitting milestone. Richard Marx noted the beauty of seeing all four women on stage, highlighting their growth throughout the season.
Alyssa, from Team Kate Miller-Heidke, said the win felt unreal. Her coach Kate was emotional, stating that Australia loves her as much as she does. The winner's prize includes a life-changing $100,000 cash award.
