A 52-year-old woman from Footscray has been charged after allegedly assaulting a waitress at a Melbourne cafe on Anzac Day. The incident occurred at La Valley cafe in Essendon, where 19-year-old Anais Poupon was serving customers when the accused allegedly slapped a plate into her mouth, chipping her tooth.
Victoria Police reported that the woman was arrested at Dandenong Railway Station around 10:50 am on Saturday.
