Lindsay Lohan to Voice Maggie Simpson in New Episode

Lindsay Lohan is set to voice Maggie Simpson in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons, marking the first time the infant character has spoken in decades. The episode, titled 'Parahormonal Activity,' will feature a flash-forward scene where Maggie speaks up to warn about Bart's driving.

In a sneak peek shared on Instagram, Marge tells Maggie to rest her voice due to laryngitis, but Maggie insists, 'Please don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells bad words and shows us fingers!' Lohan, 39, expressed her excitement on social media, calling it 'a dream come true to be part of this iconic family.'

Maggie is typically silent, only sucking her pacifier or grunting. When she does speak, she is usually voiced by Nancy Cartwright, who also voices Bart Simpson. Over the years, other celebrities like Elizabeth Taylor, Viola Davis, Jodie Foster, James Earl Jones, and Kevin Michael Richardson have voiced Maggie in alternate reality episodes, dream sequences, or flash-forwards.

Cartwright, who has voiced Bart since the show's premiere in 1989, recently expressed hope that the series continues for another 37 seasons. She noted the show's enduring popularity with new generations of fans, saying, 'We’ve got this new energy that’s behind The Simpsons right now.'

The episode airs this Sunday on Fox.
