A 31-year-old Mooloolaba man, Riccardo Valenza, has been charged with 38 sexual offences following an investigation by the Sunshine Coast Criminal Investigation Branch. Police allege Valenza used social media to target multiple women between July 2023 and November 2025, soliciting sexual activities for money.
The charges include 11 counts of rape, seven counts of using a carriage service to menace and harass, six counts of stalking, four counts of recording in breach of privacy, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of administering a stupefying drug. The 11 alleged victims are aged between 26 and 35.
Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Tim Harris said Valenza was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning at a Brisbane Road address in Mooloolaba. Police became aware of the alleged offending in the last few months.
Valenza's matter was heard in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Tuesday, which was closed to media and the public. Police urge the public to be vigilant with their online social media activity.
