A 27-year-old Salisbury man has appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with five counts of rape and other offences following an alleged break-in at an Adelaide Hills home.

Nabeel Qaisir is accused of breaking into a property at Mount Pleasant and sexually assaulting a person unknown to him, police said. Officers were called to the scene just before 3am on Wednesday, and Qaisir was arrested in the Adelaide Hills town about 10:30am the same morning.

According to court documents, Qaisir faces five counts of engaging in sexual intercourse without consent, one count of indecent assault, and an aggravated count of serial criminal trespass. The offences allegedly occurred between May 18 and May 21, 2026, at Mount Pleasant.

Police initially sought a white 2000 Mazda Bravo ute believed to have been used by the suspect, but later stated the vehicle was not connected to the incident. It was found in the north-eastern suburbs and seized for forensic testing.

Qaisir did not apply for bail and has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear in court again in October.
