Abbie Chatfield steals spotlight at 2025 AFLW Awards

Media personality Abbie Chatfield once again stole the show at the 2025 AFLW Awards in Melbourne, walking the coral carpet and co-hosting a TikTok livestream with Fremantle Dockers defender Emma O'Driscoll. O'Driscoll later praised Chatfield on Instagram, calling her 'the queen'.

Chatfield's presence at the awards comes ahead of the AFLW Grand Final, where her boyfriend Adam Hyde—one half of electronic duo Peking Duk—will headline the entertainment. Hyde, also known as Keli Holiday, recently won the Best Video ARIA for his song 'Dancing2', which he dedicated to Chatfield.

On the night, North Melbourne Kangaroos star Ash Riddell won the AFLW best and fairest award with 23 votes, matching the competition record. She finished ahead of Geelong's Georgie Prespakis (20 votes), Melbourne's Tyla Hanks (18), and West Coast's Ella Roberts. Riddell, who was runner-up in 2023 and 2024, failed to poll any votes in rounds 6 and 8 despite breaking the AFL disposal record in both games.

The 2025 All-Australian team was also announced, with Jasmine Garner earning her eighth selection to equal the all-time record. Other winners included Sydney's Montana Ham (Goal of the Year), Richmond's Sarah Hosking (Mark of the Year), and Sydney's Zippy Fish (Rising Star), who received the maximum 50 votes and averaged 21 disposals per game.
