Police are actively searching for a motorbike rider who fled the scene of a crash in Malaga late Thursday night.
Crash Details
Authorities received a report just before 11pm on Thursday indicating that a red motorbike had collided with a safety barrier on Marshall Road, located on the Tonkin Highway overpass in Malaga. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. However, upon arrival, the rider was not present.
Search Underway
It is understood that officers conducted a search of nearby bushland in an attempt to locate the rider, but the search was unsuccessful. The rider remains at large, and police are appealing for public assistance.
Marshall Road was temporarily closed to traffic while police collected evidence from the crash site. The road has since been reopened.
