Police are urgently searching for the mother of an 11-year-old boy who tragically died in a scooter crash in Mandurah on Easter Monday, as she remains missing on the day of her son's funeral.
Mother Missing
Jaymie Zisson, the mother of Michael Judge, has not been seen or heard from for several days, according to police. The 36-year-old is described as approximately 156cm tall, with brown hair and blue eyes. It is understood her son's funeral is being held today.
Ms Zisson is known to frequent the Mandurah and Fremantle areas. Police are appealing for anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them on 131 444.
The Tragic Incident
Michael was fatally injured when he was struck by a blue Mazda sedan outside Lakeside Villas on Mandurah Terrace on April 6. The 11-year-old was visiting a friend staying at the villas when the tragedy occurred. He rode his scooter down the steep driveway before crossing the busy Mandurah road.
Family tributes described Michael as a “beloved son” to his parents and an “amazing brother” to his three siblings. The obituary read: “We were so lucky to share 11 wonderful years with you. You will be deeply missed and always loved.”
Michael's mother also wrote a tribute as part of an online fundraiser, calling Michael “my son and best friend 4 life.”
