A male e-scooter rider has tragically died following a crash in Perth's northern suburbs on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred on Kittyhawk Parade, near Kingfisher Oval, in the suburb of Ballajura.
Details of the incident
Police were called to the scene at approximately 1:30pm after reports of a crash. Upon arrival, officers and St John WA paramedics located a man with critical injuries. Despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
According to police, the man fell from a footpath onto the verge of a residential property. No other vehicle was involved in the incident.
Investigation underway
Authorities have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Dash-cam or mobile phone footage relating to the crash can be uploaded directly to investigators.
