Chilling new details have emerged about a man's actions after he allegedly broke into a home and sexually assaulted a woman in South Australia's Barossa region.
Police allege a man "broke into a residential premises at Mount Pleasant and sexually assaulted the occupant", with officers called just before 3am on Wednesday.
A major search effort followed as police combed Mount Pleasant and surrounding areas for more than seven hours.
Suspect found at local bakery
Police say they found the suspect in the town centre just after 10.30am, arresting him in the main street's bakery. 7NEWS understands the man had just enquired about work in the local bakery prior to his arrest. A sign in the window of the bakery advertised a job and staff say the man had gone in asking for work.
Investigators said the victim and the suspect are not known to each other.

Charges laid
The accused, a 27-year-old Salisbury man, has been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and rape. Police have reassured the community that it was an "isolated incident, and no outstanding suspects are sought."
A white 2000 Mazda Bravo utility believed to have been used by the man was later found in the north-eastern suburbs, while police say it is "not believed to be connected to the incident." It has been seized for forensic examination.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who saw or interacted with the man in the past 24 hours. He is described as Middle Eastern in appearance, about 175cm tall, with short black hair, unshaven, and was wearing a black shirt and sandy-coloured pants.
He refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.
